Every person has fallen short of God's standard. Sin is not just bad behavior, it is a broken relationship with the God who made you.

God did not wait for you to become worthy. He moved toward you while you were still far from Him.

Jesus took the punishment that belonged to you, died in your place, and rose again on the third day.

The Gospel, Step by Step

What God Says About You

The truth is not written to condemn you. It is written to bring you home. Read each verse slowly.

Step One

Everyone Has Sinned

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23

No one is exempt. The religious person and the far from God person stand on the same ground. This is not an insult, it is the honest starting point that makes grace possible.

Step Two

Sin Brings Death

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23

Wages are earned. Gifts are given. Sin pays a wage you never wanted, and God offers a gift you could never afford. The whole gospel lives in that one contrast.

Step Three

God Loved You First

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

God's answer to sin was not distance. It was a Son. Whoever includes you, exactly as you are reading this today.

Step Four

Christ Died for Us

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

He did not wait for you to improve. The cross happened while you were still at your worst, and that is what proves the love is real.

Step Five

Jesus Took Your Sin

"God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God."
2 Corinthians 5:21

A holy exchange took place. He received your guilt and you receive His right standing before God. Nothing about that trade is fair, and all of it is grace.

Step Six

He Died, Was Buried, and Rose Again

"That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."
1 Corinthians 15:3-4

The resurrection is what separates Christianity from every other message. The tomb is empty, the debt is paid, and the Savior you are trusting is alive right now.

Step Seven

How You Receive Him

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9

There is no ceremony to complete and no waiting period. Believe and confess. That is the door, and it is open to you today.

Today Can Be the Day

You do not need to understand everything. You do not need to fix your life before you come. Jesus is not asking for a perfect person, He is asking for a willing heart.

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with them, and they with Me." Revelation 3:20

I Am Ready to Pray

The Salvation Prayer

Words do not save you. Faith in Christ saves you. Let this prayer give voice to what you believe.

Heavenly Father, I come to You just as I am. I admit that I have sinned and that my sin has separated me from You. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross in my place, that He was buried, and that You raised Him from the dead on the third day.

Today I turn from my sin and I turn to You. Jesus, I ask You to forgive me, to wash me clean, and to come into my life as my Savior and my Lord. I surrender my past, my present, and my future to You.

Thank You for loving me before I ever loved You. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. From this day forward, I belong to You. In the name of Jesus I pray,

Salvation is the beginning, not the finish line. These four habits will carry you for the rest of your life.

Step One

Read the Bible

Start with the Gospel of John, one chapter a day. It introduces you to the Jesus you just gave your life to. Then move into Romans.

Step Two

Find a Bible Believing Church

Faith was never meant to be carried alone. Look for a church that teaches the Word plainly and loves people honestly, then go this week.

Step Three

Start Growing Spiritually

Talk to God daily in your own words. Be baptized as a public declaration of your faith. Let obedience follow belief, one day at a time.

Step Four

Get Prayer Support
