You can come back
He Never Stopped Waiting for You
No matter how far you've drifted, how long you've been away, or what you've done since — the door is still open. God's love for you has not changed.
The Father Ran to Meet Him
In Luke 15, Jesus tells the story of a son who walked away from everything — and a father who never stopped watching the road. When the son finally turned back, the father didn't wait. He ran. He embraced him before a single word of apology was spoken. That is the heart of God toward you today.
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him."
You May Have Walked Away Because...
Life got hard and God felt silent
Unanswered prayers, loss, or pain made it feel like God wasn't there. But silence is not absence — and He has been with you through every moment.
You fell into sin and felt too ashamed to return
Shame whispers that you've gone too far. But grace shouts louder. There is no sin that has the final word over your life when you turn back to Him.
You were hurt by people in the church
People fail. Churches fail. But Jesus never has. Your relationship with Him is not defined by the wounds others caused in His name.
You just drifted — slowly, quietly, without realizing it
Sometimes there's no dramatic moment. Life got busy, faith got cold, and one day you realized you'd wandered far from where you started. That's okay. Today is a new beginning.
A prayer of rededication
Ready to Come Back?
This prayer is for the believer who has wandered — who knows the way home and is ready to walk it. Pray it honestly, from wherever you are right now.
Lord Jesus, I come back to You today. I have wandered from Your path and I am not proud of where I've been. But I believe You are the same God who saved me, and I believe Your grace is greater than my failures. I confess my sin and my distance from You. I ask You to forgive me, restore me, and renew my heart. I recommit my life to You — not because I have it all together, but because I know I need You. Thank You for never giving up on me. I am Yours. Amen.
